A friend of mine recently offered me several round mirrors that she wasn’t able to use for her wedding. They are 8″ and 10″ in diameter. I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to use them to throughout the wedding. I’m not crazy about using them to put the centerpieces/floral arrangements on but I’m open to any other ideas!

Like you, im not too big on using mirrors for centerpeices. But, I think it could def give some extra pow and glitz.
Are you serving anything buffet style? If so you could use the mirrors as types of platters for the food. Or, if you were planning on placing your favors on one table. use the mirrors to lay them on. Also, You could also use vases or bowls underneath the mirrors to create different heights, that way all the platters don’t look so flat.
something like this, but not as dramatic if thats not your thing

Well, I know you said you aren’t crazy about using them for the centerpieces/floral arrangements, but here is a picture of what I’m doing with the mirrors. I don’t like the look of a flat mirror on the table underneath the centerpiece, but I think this idea from Martha Stewart weddings looks better, because she makes a platform for the mirror using a foam board and covers the sides with a ribbon.

I think the food idea is a great one.
Do you have a fireplace? You could make a cool piece of wall art above the fireplace with them.
You could use them on the escort card table and other misc. tables w/ voties for a little extra sparkle. You could use them as chargers on the head table… I’m sure others will come up with creative ideas too.. that’s just what I thought of for now…

Thanks so much for the ideas everyone! The venue is kinda tricky because it’s an art gallery with an outdoor tented patio. So the inside, where the cocktail hour will be, needs very little decoration, and the outside where the dinner will be is a blank slate. We will be doing a buffet style fruit and cheese station as part of the cocktail hour so the idea of displaying the plates on the mirrors at different levels might work. I’m still open to other interesting ideas though!

I think the idea of using them on the specialty tables is great – the place card table or maybe up on the bars with votives or floating candles, submerged flowers, etc. Or what about on your sweetheart/head table somewhere? We’re re-using the bridesmaid bouquets to line the front of our sweetheart table, facing out towards everyone else, so maybe those mirrors could work underneath each of those bouquets or something. I also want to order strands of beads to decorate maybe just our sweatheart table, the cake table, the bars…..so the mirrors could accent something like that too!
