I know that mistmatched is very popular right now, but I’ve honestly never been a huge fan of the look. Sure, it can be cute when done right, but I prefer it when the bridesmaids all wear the same dress. I know this can be difficult, especially if the bridesmaids all have very different body types, but I do think there are some dresses that are universally flattering and I’m keeping those cuts in mind as well as what my bridesmaids will feel comfortable in when I pick out a dress for them.

My partner and I each have 1 bridesmaid, and they are both so differant. Her bridesmaid is over 6ft tall, mine is barely 5ft. They are wearing the same color dress, the same neckline also. My shorter bridesmaid’s dress is cotton satteen and it’s a just above the knee length. My partner’s taller bridesmaid is wearing a long gown in chiffon. I think it will look very cute! They aren’t twin babies, I don’t expect them to dress as if they are.

My bridesmaids are all the same color, length, and material, but they can choose whatever dress style they want as long as it falls in those above categories. Except my bridesMan. 🙂 As far as the groomsmen, they will be wearing the same thing. As far as what, I have yet to decide. 🙂 They are all extreme opposite body types.

Decided to go with matching. Having them all meet at the store to decide as a group. I dont care what they wear..as long as it’s the color I want and the same. I’ll call it a team building activity.. there are 8 women in the bridal party..

I’m having them mismatched but I am having them all one color. Black so I think it will still look similar just a little different !

I gave them about 10 options (and told them to submit any other dresses they liked to the group).

They ended up all liking one dress, so I’m letting them pick  between two colors (light grey and a mauve – my colour scheme). That way they’ll be able to wear the dresses again, and it’ll look cohesive.

Matching was my ideal, but my 4 ladies are just too different I think. We’re doing same color and fabric, whatever style.

My girls wore peach in different styles – all from modcloth.com. Our guys wore khaki slacks, ivory shirts and varying shades of olive green ties. I thought it worked out perfectly!

My bridesmaids are all going to be mismatched but in shades of light brown (they can pick the shade).  They get to pick shade, material, and what style best fits their body type… but they must all be maxi (long) dresses!

Groomsmen are wearing khaki’s and white button up shirts, so I imagine there will be slight differences there, too (and would love it)!

I will be having 6 bridesmaids, wearing blue in (hopefully) different styles of dresses. i have a wide range of body types, so I thought they could all get a dress that would suit their body type. unless they all decide they want the same dress. It’s either all different styles or all the same. I wouldn’t mind if two of them have the same dress, but I definitely don’t want to pair the, off… One of my bridesmaids is 15 and I don’t want a 28 year old wearing the same dress as a teenager. am I being a bridezilla for that??

For the groomsmen, you could have them wearing different tie patterns/shades.

Similar to previous poster for me. I chose 3 dresses same color and length but they can at least pick the style that fits them best. Not sure about groomsmen yet. The dresses are blush pink and fiancés requests are no bow ties and no pink. Leaning towards black tux with gray tie.

My three bridesmaids and flower girls are wearing any black or black and white dress at knee length. I’m not into matchy matchy and after spending waaaaaaay too much money on bridesmaids dresses, I didn’t want to do the same to my ladies.
