I am wondering if anyone here has seen any successful looks with mismatched bridesmaid dresses for only two bridesmaids. I am having so much trouble coordinating the bridesmaid dress “situation” as one of them is overseas coming back the week before the wedding.
If you have seen any succesfull mismatched bridesmaid dresses with small (3 or less) bridal parties please let me know!!!
Also any tips or tricks for shopping for overseas bridesmaid – I am thinking of sending her money to pick a dress and then basing the other one on it.

I had three bridesmaid with mismatched dresses. I wanted them in the same colour, but different styles. It was a little hard as ‘navy’ and ‘midnight blue’ is a different shade in different brands and fabrics and I wanted them the same So had tI find a brand with enough variety. Ended up ordering online from Weddingtonway. I’m in Aus and the dresses came from the states.

I only have two in my wedding party, and here is what they are wearing:
Maid/Matron of Honor (sister):
Bridesmaid or Best Man (FSIL):
I went shopping with my Future Sister-In-Law since she lives in town, and she picked her dress and we both thought out of all of the ones she tried on… it flattered her the most. My sister lives 3.5 hours away, and just went to a local store that carried the same designer I was going for (Alfred Angelo), and had a couple fashionista friends go with her to tell her what looked good or bad. Then, I just ordered both from the store that the Future Sister-In-Law and I went to. It was an easy process.
I am not sure for overseas, but maybe find an online retailer that has the dress your looking for (or color) and start from there.

I will only have 2 bridesmaids who will be mismatched as well. Before my fiancé even proposed I saw this particular blue dress from Priscilla of Boston, and determined that it would be one of my wedding colors when SO proposed. When he did propose, one of the first things I did was look online for stores near me selling that brand. Wouldn’t you know it, Priscilla of Boston’s bridesmaid division had gone out of business! I was so upset, but I turned to trusty Google and found someone selling the exact dress I wanted for my Maid/Matron of Honor on eBay, and it was in her size! For $30! So I bought it–my very first wedding related purchase–and gave it to my sister Maid/Matron of Honor to try on. It fit perfectly! I originally only planned on having an Maid/Matron of Honor, so finding other matching dresses was never a problem. Then I decided to have another sister as a bridesmaid/reader. I did a cursory search online for another dress, but didn’t have any luck–and over 2 years after the company went out of business, didn’t expect to. And the color was so unique, I also knew it was hopeless trying to match it (I spent 2 years trying to find anything at all for the wedding in the same color, but everything was either too blue or too green.) So knowing I couldn’t match either the style or the color, I just went to David’s Bridal and had my other sister try on some dresses in one of the other colors from the wedding. I haven’t been able to see them wearing them next to each other yet, but I’m not worried. I’m not super obssessed with things being matchy-matchy anymore 😉
P.S. Sorry this is so long!
