I had planned to borrow jewelry from a friend of fiances (that I adore). A tiffany’s white gold leaf pattern necklace and earrings with diamonds on the leaves. I’ve only seen a picture but they are gorgeous and match the lace accents on my dress great.
But, Fiance got me sapphire stud white gold earrings with tiny diamonds circling them for my wedding gift. They are gorgeous, I’m thrilled to have them, but it does leave me with a dilemma. Fiance wants me to wear them on wedding day (I know he’ll be hurt if I don’t). I liked having matched jewelry so do I skip wearing the necklace to avoid a clash? But I’d like to have the necklace and not be bare given I’m wearing a strapless dress. Also, the jewelry was to be my “something borrowed.” I can call my mom’s headpiece that I’m borrowing it instead, but that was my “something old.”
ETA: I’ll take this dilemma anyday. 🙂 Choice of pretty sparkling things is not so terrible…
