It’s just not in our budget to rent suits or tuxes for the guys. So we’re having them wear a suit that they already own as long as it’s dark gray or black (also some have pinstripes, some not). We’re going to tie everyone in by having my Fiance pick out a tie that he likes in a solid color and having the rest of them in patterned ties with the same color as a base. Is anyone else going this route for their wedding?

We aren’t doing mismatched tuxes/suits but they guys are not all wearing the same shoes. My Fiance and my cousin (one of his groom’s men) will be wearing Nike SB Dunks and the other two guys will be wearing Chuck Taylor’s because they don’t want to spend the extra $$ on the Nike’s. I’m hoping it will look ok because it’ll go Nike, Chuck’s, Nike, Chucks. They guys didn’t want to wear “normal” dress shoes and it just isn’t an important enough issue to challenge on so I said go for it lol

I think it will look cool – you are totally 1 step ahead of the trend as I’m sure with mis-matched bms at the moment mis-matched gms will be next!

I also think it will look cool! I don’t see why all of the B.M.s don’t have to match but the G.M. are… just weird

I think it will work out perfectly, as long as you have something to tie it all together and they are in the same color family! It will blend, you really aren’t going to see the pinstripes from a distance either.

Not quite mismatched exactly, but we are having all the guys wear their own black suits (so, not as much room for not-matching as you have) and will probably just have them all wear the same/similar ties. I figured since the girls aren’t going to be wearing the same dress, why should the guys have to? Plus it saves us a pretty penny 🙂

We are also having our GMs pick their own charcoal grey suits. Fiance also has his suit, so when he had his pants hemmed, we took a piece that they cut off, cut it into smaller pieces and gave them to the GMs. Their instructions is to get a two-button suit of a similar color. We will be gifting them ties and socks. They will wear their own black shoes.
