I’d use a coaster as long as it wasn’t monogrammed with a date and/or name. I think the robots are super adorable. Then again, favors are generally overlooked so I doubt it will matter what you go with either way… but I choose robots.

There’s another thread on here about favors that are coasters and a lot of people are saying they wouldn’t use them because they’re personalized.  I kind of have the same feeling about using stuff that is too ‘weddingy’ so I think the robots are kind of cute.

I would not put them in my home. But then again I would leave any coasters on the table at the reception because I really would not want them.

Unless you have a robot themed wedding, people will see them and think “wtf, why robots?” There might be some people who love them, but I bet most of them will be left at the reception hall. It’s not that they’re not cute, they’re just very taste specific. I agree that you probably need to do something that will appeal to more people,

Eta: I just wanna say that I do think they are cute, and if you love them, then do it! I know the wedding should be all about you two, so you should pick the coasters that you like the best. I just think if you’re wanting the maximum amount of people to take them home and use them, they’re probably not the best choice, and they might seem a little random in the grand scheme of the wedding. But as long as you’re ok with that, then I say go for it. I’d just hate for you to spend the money and time making them, and have 100 of them still sitting there when you leave.

I’d say as long as they’re not too prissy (so my Fiance isn’t embarassed to have it on our table) and not monogramed or otherwise personalized with anything screaming out your names (to the point that guests to my house think I stole them from someone’s house) it’s fine.  I personally love the robots, but I’d totally understand if that’s not fitting with the idea you had, but jsut saying I’d dig the robots…..

It’s his wedding too – which definitely means there will be things that aren’t on your pinterest board. If you think the robots are cute, then I can’t understand why you would shoot them down.

Also like you said in the poll, nobody cares about favors anyway. Favors are an extra and nobody is entitled to get a favor that matches their taste – that would be impossible!

Granted, I may be unusual, because I want my SO’s taste to be reflected in our wedding.

The robots are pretty cute. I’d probably use them in my house because I don’t have any other coasters so why not? I’d definitely use the robots ove the wine glass, but the others are about equal .

If he is really into this idea, I’d give it to him. If people aren’t going to use your coasters, they probably aren’t going to use them regardless of whats on them. This would probably be a good time to make your Fiance happy pretty easily.

I think they are adorable but if that’s the only place robots appear at your wedding it could be odd to your guests. Since you’re using stamps I’m guessing you are making the coasters? Could you do robots for your friends and spine thing generic for family? Maybe give people a choice?
