@lonsk:  i don’t know anything about what the acupuncturist would be looking for, but i’d keep using OPKs and just get BDing… I wouldn’t risk missing a month because of what someone saw on my tongue!!

sorry if that sounds dismissive of acumpuncturists – i’ve never been or researched, and he could be completely correct, but I would still be running my own tests. Don’t feel sad yet!!

Have you tried doing the thermometer every morning?  That way you can see with your own eyes exactly how close you are to ovulation and when you ovulate.

There is always a chance the acupuncturist is wrong, and hey, there is a chance that the egg is still there too πŸ™‚  I’d say commence with the baby dancing and try to relax.  Stress won’t help.

@lonsk:  Try to relax. Save your energy for something you have control over. This, you do not. I’d still OPK, and go about my  usual routine.

I know how frustrating missing a cycle is, but you won’t know if you’ve missed your window until later. As PP have said, keep taking OPK and see what happens πŸ™‚

@lonsk:  You can ramble/vent here as much as you need. I’m very sorry that it looks like you’ve missed your window. This is frustrating. Have you just recently started AP? The reason why I’m asking: AP moved my ovulation from CD 17/18 to CD 13/14 so it is def possible that the treatment changed your cycle. You won’t know if you missed your window until later so I would throw out the OPK’s and just have sex the next few days.

@lonsk:  My AP is dead on as well.  Does your AP have you chart?  I highly suggest it because it has been very beneficial for both of us to decide how to assist me.  I use My Days on the Android and take my temperature every morning when I wake up.  Charting will help you keep track of your temper as well as CM, BD days, etc.

I would relax and keep BDing! My Darling Husband and I said screw all the charts etc and BDed the 11th-18th and I ovulated sometime around the 15th and it worked, I am now 22 weeks pregnant. So relax as much as possible and BD as much as possible too πŸ˜‰

That sucks.  I do shift work too and find temping was pretty much useless.  Vent away, I know how frustrating it is. We do eod from cd10 on just to try to cover all bases.

@lonsk:  even Tuesday would be fine – there are studies that show that BDing 2 days before O can be just as effective as ON O day… i just tried to find the link, but can’t seem to find it right now. And there are lots of stories on these forums about women who thought they’d missed their O by many days and still got pregnant.

All the best πŸ™‚

Have fun with it. Don’t worry (:

Tip: do some yoga afterwards, and let gravity work it’s magic. I hear this helps the sperm make it’s way to the egg. Take zinc tablets, both of you. It improves egg & sperm quality. Also, increase good saturated fats such as organic free-range eggs, coconuts, avocados, nuts, goats cheese, etc.
