I wish I couldn’t empathize, but I know just how you feel. I’m like this ALL the time. I think that it sounds like a reasonable mistake and not because of carelessness or anything intentional. Things happen to all of us… I think it’s important to look at things from your supervisors viewpoint. I would say it’s a minor annoyance and if I waas in her shoes, I’d expect things like this to happen while someone’s in training.

We are almost always harder on ourselves then we would be to others, so try to let it go. But to be honest, I’ve been known to go have a cry in a hot shower- somehow that kind of drains the worry out of me. Good luck, it honestly sounds fine.

goingtotherooftopoflove:  I have major guilt complex to the point that I will go back in late at night, early in the morning or the weekend. Otherwise I cannot sleep. It really sucks. I have no problemtalking to my boss about a mistakeI made though.

I am so in this same boat. I think really the best thing you can do is let your boss know as soon as it happens; telling them right away lets them know that yes, you are human and you will make mistakes, but that you do care about your work.

Personally I beat myself up over any mistake at all, and during my last days at work this week before I moved away I was just making mistakes left and right, but everyone understood because they knew I was a good worker and just had a lot going on in my life. There’s a difference between a mistake and just flat out ignoring something.
