Given that he descriped the gifts you should send a thank you.  I don’t see how that is weird at all.  I think its weirder to have asked him if he brought a gift and after asking to not send a thank you to someone who said they gave a gift.

Suck it up and send the thank you note.  We are missing a few gifts as well.  We will send a thank you note thanking them for coming to the wedding.  Shocked cause we found out one of the couples stiffed another friend of ours at his wedding and he was a groomsmen.  Don’t get it.

@Bichon Frise:  Send a thank you note.  What do you want the man t so go tract it down for you?  If it got lost or stolen there is nothing he can do.
