My cat is literally the best cat in the world and he is missing. I am so upset and feel people think I am ridiculous for getting so upset over a cat!
He comes home every night without fail and he has literally disappeared into thin air. No sign of him. He is microchipped so if he was taken to a vet they would have scanned him and they would have called me.
Looked everywhere and called him for him all day/night…
Sorry just need a rant..

I wouldn’t worry yet! My elderly neighbors used to accidentally kidnap my cats for days at a time.

Awww honey. I would be distraught too..have you asked your neighbours to check their sheds and garages? Not sure where you are in UK but could your cat be stranded somewhere that has flooded recently like local fields? I hope he comes back to you.

Contact his microchip company, contact vets, pounds and pet stores. Put fliers up at places people congregate but generally stand around. Post offices, grocery stores, local car washes. Ask neighbors, sometimes local media (Like radio and television shows) will put out APBs for lost pets.
I’m sorry. I hope kitty comes home soon. I’d die if my cat or dog was lost.

@LilMonkey: Oh no. I would be so upset as well. I feel people who think you are ridiculous don’t own a pet themselves, or do not consider their pets family. I would do the flyers, call the vet and local shelters to give your # and let them know to contact you if someone brings in kitty. Maybe leave out some food to see if that draws him back in. So sorry this happened. I’ll be hoping he comes back to you.

@LilMonkey: Whew! I was hoping this wouldn’t be another Pika’ story… my girl has been missing for over 7 weeks now…
Top tip… make sure the chip is registered with PetLog or similar, and also call up your local council to find out what happens if they find a dead or injured cat… some councils will just incinerate them, collar and tags and all, and not even make a found pet report.
I also know that I am uber paranoid about this, but what is the situation with the urban foxes in your area?
So glad that this story had a happy ending! Can you post a pic of your furbaby?

Here is a picture of my beautiful baby! So happy to have him back! He is micro chipped with PetLog and thankfully it was all up to date!
So awful the council would just do that! Especially if they have a collar and tag!
We live in a town so have quite a few foxes – however our cats seem to have befriended them and seem to the the top cat with the fox running away from them lol!
So so sorry to hear about your kitty!! Wishing you all the best and hope you find her soon!

Wonderful! I had a former (guess why she was former) flat mate that was always leaving doors and windows open and my indoor kitties kept getting out. One was missing 45 days(!!) before she made her way back home, looking worse for the wear. Sometimes a hobbit just wants to get out and wander. She’s happily on my lap all snuggled in now.
