I understand. I really wished my mum had been there too. On the morning of the wedding, my sister had champagne delivered with a gorgeous photo of my Mum framed so she was ‘with us’ while we were getting ready. I also made sure she was toasted in the speeches.

I lost my mom 3 years ago, and it had been so hard planning a wedding without her here! Even though I know she will be with me the whole night, it doesn’t make it any easier. Especially because I know people will say things about her during the wedding. Hugs to you!

I am sorry. My boyfriend and I will be engaged within 6 months and I lost my mom 2 years ago and this is my biggest fear about getting married. This will also be my second marriage but I don’t think it will make it any easier. Hugs hang in there I know it can’t be easy.

BEEelegant :  Big hugs. I know how you feel. I miss my Mom. We were the best of friends and what I wouldn’t give to have just one more day with her. Cherish all your wonderful memories that you shared with your mom. Life is truly a gift, and you’re right, no one can replace your mom. Moms are very special.  How about a memorial candle to honor your mom ? Your mom’s love will always be with you and your wedding day will be very special too because of all the love that you have around you.

BEEelegant :  I hear you. My mom died about 10 years ago. I got married without her and picking out my gown alone when seeing the other brides w their mom might as well just killed me. I found out I was pregnant recently and then yesterday found out that I miscarried. Not fair how everyone else that I know can call their mom.
