I’m having a small wedding. 35 people max. A total of 16 physical invitations were sent. Everyone is coming from out of town. Everyone from my family sent in their RSVPs right away. Our deadline was on the 11th and we’re missing 6 responses (out of 16) from his family. I realize they’re likely not coming but it’s frustrating! And it makes me and my fiance feel bad. This is why I don’t get sending out invites to be polite. Because now we’re forced to deal with tracking them down to confirm they’re not attending. I guess I’m just shocked at the percentage of his side that didn’t respond.
Oh well. I guess his mom will have some calling to do this next week.

Unfortunately, that’s the way things are. We had about 50 people not respond to our wedding. I basically called each one, or wrote them an email saying that if they didn’t respond by x date, they would be considered a no.

@2PeasinaPod:Yeah I figured we’d have one or two, but 6. That’s almost his whole list!

that’s not too bad, try not to take it personally. That’s six calls to make, at least it’s not the 20 or 30 i’m sure I’ll have to deal with. (my FI’s side isn’t very ettiquite wise, or considerate)….i’m sure they are just very wrapped up in their own stuff and don’t realize the deadline has passed.
congrats and have fun at ur wedding!
