and another card with

Chris
Guest of Mary *****

It is most proper to treat all guests the same regardless of them being +1’s or close personal frends of yours.  So it would be proper to have all cards with last names.

I just called/texted/emailed to find out last names if I needed to.  It’s not a big deal.  I definitely wouldn’t make some people’s escort cards different as an alternative to just doing a little sleuthing… Also, facebook stalking can sometimes be helpful in finding out the last names of SOs of your guests.

I called them and asked. BUT DH’s cousin who has a not serious gf who was not invited by us, but by said cousin…. we gave her his cousin’s last name because we got a kick out of it. We knew it would make his cousin uncomfortable and well we were annoyed he invited his gf without consulting us. Darling Husband would giggle every time he saw her name on the guest list or what not.

Just call/text/facebook to get last names.   It’ll look a lot more organized when the escort cards are displayed.

Sometimes I didn’t even get a first name.  I figured if they wanted their name printed on my stuff they would’ve given me the full name of their guest.  So I just put Daniel W*** +1 or Cory C** +1, etc. on the escort cards.  I really don’t think anyone thought it was rude. I mean, they didn’t know me after all.
