I got home and there were orchids on my door and a note telling me to be ready at 6:30. He picked me up and took me to Kerbey Lane– our favorite cafe– for dinner. We took some pictures and then he drove us to SoCo for cupcakes at Hey Cupcake! After we finished eating them he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
I kissed him, said, "of course!" and then put the lovely diamond ring on my finger amidts the applause and congratulations of other Hey Cupcake! patrons.
Afterwards we went to Mozart’s on the lake, where we had our very first date, and sat by the water calling all of our friends and families. Wonderful evening, and such a surprise! I thought it was coming on Saturday!

What fun, and I’m sure he KNEW you thought it would be Saturday so he wanted to surprise you. I’m a little jealous he gave you the “be ready by 6:30” … if my fiance had said something like that I would have picked a cuter outfit and done my hair nicer for my big proposal day — like it looks like you did! 🙂
