I saw this! One of the articles I read mentioned that “Barack” is an African name that means “blessed,” and that mothers who were using this name were hoping that their babies would lead a blessed life. Seems like a valid point to me.

My coworker who shared the link with me said that it reminded her how much the rest of the world pays attention to US events like the election.

Hahaha I saw this yesterday. At least they don’t live in America. I’m sure they’d get made fun of for those names way more in the US than in Kenya.

I feel bad for the one named after Mitt Romney…everyone will get the name Barack, but in 10 years they’ll be like “Who is your brother named after? That’s a weird name…”
