My bridesmaids all wore different dresses, different materials, different shades of blue. Some were fancier than others, but they all looked gorgeous. I don’t have any photos of them all together yet (grrrr) but here’s what I have of 3 of them:

I let my 3 BMs choose whichever style they wanted, as long as they were all the same color.  2 of them chose the same satin dress while the other chose a chiffon dress. I just ordered them a couple of weeks ago and have yet to see how they look together.

I believe if you’re doing different styles, you should use the same fabric to keep a cohesive look. However, I’m sure you can do it where it will look nice. ultimately it’s whatever works for you and your girls.

I know this is WAY old but does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like with both chiffon and satin dresses in different styles?

I was going to do that, had I decided to have bridesmaids. I kind of feel like they should at least be able to choose whatever style they want since they are paying for it. That, and it allows for them to have a larger price range so they can find something to suit their budgets.
