My big day is Thursday, July 21. I have not yet found a date twin (that I can recall). I pretty much ride on the coattails of the 22nd and 23rd brides. I was so excited to plan a Thursday wedding because not only did it work fabulously for both families, but it was something a little different (like us) and waaaaay less expensive than waiting another day or two.
Buuuut, I’m kinda over here by myself. No body to gripe with about how everytime I was looking at a vendor I would get asked, ” Are you sure that’s your wedding day? It’s a Thursday.” Ummm, yeah, I’m pretty sure, now may I have the quote please?
Bittersweet, but I’m still so super duper excited for all of us!!!

I am almost your date twin! I’m getting married on Wednesday the 20th, and am in the same boat as you. I love having it in the middle of the week, as well, and got a great deal on our location because of it! I haven’t had anyone ask if I was sure my date was correct, but I have gotten “ohhhhh, how wonderful” and a few weird looks, but I’m (trying) not to let it bother me too much.
Have you sent your invitations yet? Mine are going out next week, and while it’s family and close friends, I’m still worried about people having work conflicts and not being able to make it on a Wednesday. My ceremony starts at 6pm, so hopefully that’ll give everyone enough time to get there. We only get the venue until 10 so it’s already cutting it close.
Glad you posted, almost-date-twin! 🙂

Not having a date twin is good in a way: makes you unique:) I got married on Thursday, December 30th and I can guarantee you there is probably no one else with the this date (if there is, wave your hand) because everyone else got married on NYE.
July is a great month-was my first choice ’cause I think it’s the luckiest month. So congrats and no worries-different is good:)

I’m getting married on July 13, which is a weekday and furthermore, a date that nobody wants! So, I feel you. Eyebrows are raised at me not only for my weekday choice, but because of the connotations of the number. Oh well!

I actually sent them today! I’m so excited.
Thanks for the rally girls! I love the bee.

I don’t have a date twin either! That’s what you get for marrying on a Tuesday. But hey, we’re weekday wedding twins and also month twins- I’ll gripe with you about vendors! LOL

im sorry i cant be your date twin – we’re on friday, june 17.
but i have encounted 3… yes 3! vendors that have said their schedule is busy that day (friday) and asked if i ‘would be willing to move our wedding day to saturday!’ seriously!! yes, let me just move our wedding date, and the guests, and the restaurants, and the limos, and everything else so i can use your services! just because we’re getting married on a friday doesnt make our wedding less of a wedding than those getting married on saturday or any other day!! (would they ask a saturday wedding to ‘move their date’ to sunday to better fit their schedule? i think not!)
hang in there! you should pretend to be surprised – if they ask ‘are you sure?’ be like, ‘yeah, i think so, why?’ and they’ll say, ‘its a thursday’ and you can pretend to be surprised and say, ‘what!? a thursday!’ haha. too funny.
