Hi! Just wanted to ask if you ladies think they look too mismatched? I didn’t want a channel set round wedding band, I wanted princess cuts. (Please ignore the alligator skin! I am so bad with lotion )
Thanks in advance!

I’m not gonna lie I look at the pictures and it’s BAM very in your face.
I think there is just too much competition between the rings, and also I think the w band could do with being a bit thinner to accommodate your e ring.
But if you love it, then love it 🙂

Thanks for your input. I don’t love it which is why I am questioning it. This just justifies the fact that I think they are good on their own but not together. 🙁

Sorry Bee. I am not feeling it.
A plain band or channel set would be more cohesive.

I agree with you that the princess cuts, consistent with your center stone, complement each other. The “lots of metal” and “barely there metal” looks of the two rings is what’s distracting me. I’d consider a third ring, plain metal band on the inside, as a balance, or finding a channel set princess band, or a bar set princess band, just something that has more metal. jmho
Happy shopping, Bee!

While I sometimes enjoy the mismatched look I will agree this is what’s bugging me too.

I think it really overpowers your e-ring.
You could keep it and just wear your e-ring on your right hand, if that is something that appeals to you. If not, then I vote to switch it out for something else.

I like them together! I dont love the look of matchy-matchy rings. That said, I have a channel set princess cut band from blue nile that I highly recommend!

I think your set looks perfect. Love the princess cut band with your princess cut e-ring.

I’m not loving it. I agree with a pp that the wedding ring needs to be thinner. Beautiful wedding ring for a stand alone peice though.

I really like the wedding band! I think the only thing that throws it off (and I mean this is just personal opinion and me being particular, since you asked) is the channel set round diamonds in your e-ring. Maybe one day you could have them replaced with princess cut stones? I think that would make everything flow together really well. Just a suggestion, but it definitely looks great as-is.

It’s just too mismatched. I love mismatched rings when they complement each other, not compete. It’s a lot going on with the different styles, channel and shared prong, and the mix of shapes. I would pick one thing to mismatch and go with a thinner wedding band. A princess channel band would go gorgeous or a thin shared prong with round diamonds. Like these:

I agree. If the e-ring was a solitaire, that band would look absolutely amazing! Those bands you linked are both so perfect for it!

I am definitely thinking of switching the band. Not only for the obvious reasons it’s bugging me but also because the band is poking the inside of my fingers quite a bit.
Love that band!
I think that could definitely be a possibilty for the future. I do kind of like that the rounds make the e-ring and wedding band two seperate pieces vs it looking like just one big ring. I guess time will tell.
Those are lovely thank you 🙂
