My wedding is a way off still and I’m not rushing out to buy our wedding bands anytime soon, but I’m liking the look of a rose gold band with a white gold engagement ring. My ring is a very thick band though, so if I were to mix the golds, you’d see the contrast a lot more than those sets with very skinny bands. Here’s my ring and then some of the wedding bands I like…
What do you think?
Here are some of the bands I’m liking:
Do you think my ring would look ok with a rose gold band??

anyone??? Does anyone have any mixed gold sets of their own that they could share photos of? Especially if they’re thicker banded rings like mine

@MrsPhilly: I think your ring is gorgeous on its own.
It’s always so damn hard to tell how a band is going to look WITH the e-ring…and even if it “looks” great together, it has to be comfortable to wear also.
I think the best course of action would be to go try on some bands with your ring…and then you’ll have a better metrix of where to go from there…

I’m going to have mixed gold for my rings. My wedding band is at the jewelers but I should get it back around Friday, I can post picks then if you’d like : )

@Purple_Possum: Sure that would be great!!! My jeweller is about 45 min away so I don’t get in there too often. I have to take my ring in soon to be dipped and I’m hoping he has some rose gold rings for me to try on with it. But in the mean time I might just head to the mall one day this week and see if there’s anything to try that might give me an idea of how it’ll look

Yeah, I’m lucky, my jeweler is like 10 minutes from me.
I love the look of mixed gold : ) I think they just look so good together. I’ll actually have all three colors in my set. My wedding band will have rose gold for the band and yellow for the part that actually holds the stones : )

i like how rose and white look together but because of how thick your e-ring is, it might not look as good as with dainty bands.
your ring has a strong presence, but rose gold to me looks better on thinner bands, so if i were you i would stick to white gold.

I love mixing metals. I paired mine with yellow and not rose gold but I think the color contrast is great

@SnowBunny420: can I ask where you got your rose gold bands? They look beautiful! I’ve been planning to do the same thing for my wedding ring, and I’m wavering between etsy and professional jewelers

@kimberlystews: I am very pleased with my rose gold bands, and I went to a BBB accredited site and let’s just say I am glad I did. I paid under $200.00 for both 14K rose gold bands and bought my husbands 14K white gold band at http://www.sarraf.com all 4 rings were $390.00 and we love our wedding bands. Good luck, and post and tag me when you get them.
