@LilySarah:  No pics, sorry, but I’m sure it’s no big deal if your Maid/Matron of Honor has a dress of a different length. I have seen pics of the Maid/Matron of Honor in entirely different dresses to the bridesmaids (different cut, colour and fabric), chosen to deliberately make her stand out.

I say go for it!

@LilySarah:  No worries – found some pics for you; just Googled “maid of honour different dress”:

It’ll be fine 🙂

I don’t think it is a big deal, just make sure her dress isn’t fancier than yours since you said your dress is simple.

I had the same situation with a bridesmaid, however she was just a Bridesmaid or Best Man and not my Maid/Matron of Honor, so I couldn’t use the same solution as yours.  Luckily, the dress we picked happened to flatter her particularly well, and the skirt wasn’t too short like many Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses out there, so she felt comfortable in it.  She looked gorgeous in the dress. In fact, once my other bridemaids saw her, they all decided to order her dress instead of doing all different dresses like we had originally planned.
