Long story short, I already found earrings and a necklace that I love, earrings are gold and necklace is gold and pearl. Now a bracelet has been offered to me, something that’s in the family, nothing expensive but it’s pretty, but it’s a silver/white tone. My ring is platinum so I guess I’m already mixing colors a bit, but I’m not sure if I should add another piece to the mix.
Did anyone wear mixed metals for their wedding? Or have inspiration pictures? I’m on the fence and am hoping seeing it done with success will help sway me.

I am a little. My earrings are yellow gold, necklace and bracelet are strands of pearls (which my phone just tried to autocorrect to wig earls, just had to share that), with silver clasps, and I’m wearing a white gold sapphire RHR. Wedding set is a platinum engagement ring and a rose and white wedding band. Dress is ivory with slightly silverish beading. I’ll have pictures of it all together in about two days.

Hmmm… I’m very visual. Do you have photos?

I’m doing it – my headpiece and earrings (and shoes!) are gold, my RHR and my engagement ring (and wedding band) are white gold. Not a big deal.

I’m mixing metals. I’ll have a necklace and ring that are yellow gold but my e-ring is white gold and my earrings will be white gold. Whatevs, the yellow gold has sentimental value and it’s my “something old” and “something borrowed.”

I mixed up my metals. My wedding set is yellow gold, and so was the RHR I wore. My earrings were white gold, until DH sent over yellow gold ones, so I wore one set white and the other yellow gold. My necklace was WG and pearls.

I have a slightly neurotic approach – I actually can’t stand wearing mixed metals. I can appreciate how lovely they look on others but I can’t do it. I’m far too ‘matchy’ if that makes any sense. If the pieces mean a lot to you, and you like them, I say go for it!

First of all, I LOVE your adipose profile pic. ha ha! If only fat would magically come off of all of us & then be so stinkin’ cute! LOL
Ok, now to your question. I think it’ll be fine! I’m actually purposely mixing metals and even my dress had a mix of white, gold and silver beading on it. I love mixing metals and do it a lot with my jewelry. I think it’s going to be lovely! 🙂

@Kit_Kath: I’m wearing yellow gold earrings, a yellow gold and pearl necklace, and my grandma’s yellow gold and platinum engagement ring. My wedding set is platinum so that won’t really match. But I don’t really see my rings as silver-toned. I see them as neutral and not something I need to match. Just like I don’t see my jeans as ‘blue’ when I’m picking a top out. If that makes any sense!!!
