I can’t see the pic, but I’m mixing mason jars with candles and mason jars with paper flowers.

I’m doing a mix kinda… The vases have colored water beads and the top is an arrangement of flowers and at the bottom going all around the vase are candles.

I’m not alternating them though it will be the same for all the tables.

I can’t see the pic either but many weddings have floral and candle alternating centerpices.

Also can’t see the photos, but we are mixing at our wedding. Half the tables will be lace-wrapped candles on a mirror with flower petals. The other half will be hydrangeas in mercury glass with votives. I think it’s going to look awesome!

I’m doing candles and flowers. 30 of the centerpieces will be floral (some will be “high” in height, and some “medium”) and then our  20 “low” centerpieces will be like this:

with bigger glasses and different colored flowers. My Fiance loves candles and I really wanted to incorporate them somehow. We had originally wanted to do candelabras as our candle centerpieces, but apparently the venues in Michigan see the tall candles as saftey hazards and we’re only allowed to use votives.

@hopefloats: Great minds think alike! We are using the same idea for our cocktail tables since we are doing a winery-themed wedding. Gotta love Pinterest inspiration photos!

@Demarca11: that’s exactly where I found this! I like that it looks elegant but isn’t as costly as a low floral centerpiece

OK, @mrscheetos, thanks to you I am officially reconsidering my centerpiece design. IKEA has wine glasses 7″ tall, 6/$5. What?

I wonder if I could compromise and still throw mason jars in the mix. I love them, and I want them too.

@atalante: you could probably do both ! that’s a great deal on the ikea ones!

@hopefloats: What I really like about your idea is that I’m going to have a mix of round tables, in many cases pushed together… I can do each small table for much less with these wine/candle ones, and put my paper roses (which will also be in the mason jars) in the glass. Maybe put the whole thing on a small mirror.

HmmmMMMmmmmMMMMmm.
