Does anyone have experience with Dessy dresses in lux chiffon and nu georgette? Two of my bridesmaids love chiffon dresses and one loves a nu georgette dress. Both fabrics come in the same color. looking at pictures online the fabrics look really similar, but do you think mixing is a bad idea?
Thanks for any advice!!

@SunshineSmiles: I’m no expert on this, but my instinct from looking at photos is that Chiffon is still going to look quite a bit softer than the Nu Georgette. I personally would want to stick to one kind of fabric, but if you want your girls to have the option, then i honestly don’t think it will matter! 🙂

@SunshineSmiles: i’ve seen both fabrics in person, and yes the lux chiffon is much softer, but they are simular enough that as long as you’re not super set on it being the same it will look good. The colors may look slightly different in photos due to the different textures, but for the most part i think it wouldn’t make too much a difference. I would call some stores and look in person, but it wouldnt bother me!

@pengoala: Thank you for the feedback! I think you are right about the softness of the chiffon vs. the nu georgette. The shops I’ve looked at have both fabrics but only in different colors, so for I’m having a hard time visualizing how it would actually look. I thought finding MY dress would be the hard part, but bridesmaid dresses are proving to be tricky for me!

@Sugarbee711: Thank you! I only have three bridesmaids– I think if I had a larger amount then the difference definitely wouldn’t be as noticeable or any difference would look semi-intentional. I think I’m going to encourage everyone to end up with the same fabric, but I’m glad to know mixing the two could work if it comes down to that!
