I’m doing Donna Morgan dresses and have picked a color but would like to allow my maids to choose their style. Some of the DM styles come in polyester and some in silk and the website makes the disclaimer that “Colors vary slightly between silk and polyester styles, please choose carefully when mixing styles for your bridal party.” Has anyone out there done Donna Morgan dresses and mixed the styles and fabrics for a particular color? Is the difference in shades across fabrics really that noticeable?
Thanks!! 🙂

So, I have not mixed fabrics for the actual dresses but I was in your same situation. I love her grape color and love the “Morgan” style but two of my girls are a little bustier than the other 2, so I wanted to get the “Sarah” style for them (Morgan was way cleavage-y for the others). I ordered swatches and debated for a long time along with polling everyone I knew, and I decided to go with all girls in one style (the polyester chiffon). The colors are very close, but there is a noticeable difference. If you don’t mind having dresses in the same color family but being slightly different shades, I would go for it. For me, I felt like it would look off and I would regret it later so I decided to go with one style. If you have time and want to order swatches, you can do so off the Donna Morgan website for $2 apiece. They came the same week I ordered them.

@spicyshimmer: I used these dresses and let the girls pick their style. Sure enough, 1 dress was different from all the rest. Not dramatically different that people noticed at the wedding, but noticable in pictures (my color was midnight). The disclaimer was NOT there when the girls had purchased/when I picked from the site which was about a year ago. Go figure.
