Okay, this could be a stretch, but have any of you bees had/been to a wedding where the wedding cake was actually cheesecake? My Fiance and I have different tastes in cakes, I like chocolate and he likes white. But then I joked about just doing cheesecake since it’s seriously the best sweet out there. He JUMPED on the idea, so now I just want to see if it is possible!

I think it sounds great, but Darling Husband is sitting here shaking his head; he thinks it sounds gross. Haha. I say you should go for it if you both like the idea, but only if you have a place where it can be properly refrigerated right up until serving. Cheesecake is pretty nasty if it’s been left out for even a little bit of time.

@brideatbeach: Haha I didn’t think of that! Luckily the venues I’m looking at allow kitchen access with large fridges! I mean cheesecake is so much better than the funfetti that my Fiance wants. I swear, sometimes I think I am marrying a kid. He seriously wants our tier of the cake to be funfetti. *sighs*

@MissHornet: If Darling Husband liked cheesecake, I would be all over it! We actually served pie instead of cake at our wedding, and it was total hit. I think guests like when you go for the unconventional. 🙂

We went to a wedding where cheesecake was served, but it was not the actual wedding cake. I found out later that the real wedding cake was made of styrofoam with real frosting and flowers on it. I thought it was a pretty clever idea.

Fiance and I are having the tier you cut into cheesecake. We are not cake fans but that is the ONLY cake we will eat. The remaining tiers will be cupcakes of different flavors. Not too many of our other family members like cheesecake. There are more and more ppl opting for cheesecake as their wedding cake. This website will have you drooling and all of the cakes are cheesecakes

My fiance absolutely loves cheesecake (I do too, but it is his FAVORITE), so he is going to have a cheesecake groom’s cake. I love cheesecake, so I would be happy to see it at a wedding. Not everyone likes it, true, but the same can be said about cake 🙂

@lindseyl06: You are sooo right about the drooling. I wish I lived near there so I could do that.
