Sr058632 :  Your mother in law is in her own color. That color just happens to be the same as your mother’s color. Both women just chose what they look good and feel beautiful in. If that happens to be the same color, what’s the big deal? Isn’t the biggest priority that they feel gorgeous? not that they don’t copy one another?

Those dresses are both beautiful! And I had no idea it was considered a bad thing that the moms match? Both our moms wore dresses that coordinated with our colors, and they did that in my brother’s wedding too. I’m sorry this bothers you so much! It seems like it should be a positive thing.

You don’t get to choose what other people wear (unless they’re bridesmaids/groomsmen, obvs), they’re both lovely dresses and presumably both mothers are happy with their choices…. I’m really sorry but I’m struggling to see what the issue is!

(and the colours don’t look exactly the same anyway)

I would be happy that they match personally, I think it’s cute/sweet and will look so coordinated in photos 🙂

I love that they coordinate/match, it will look nice in photos! Brava to the moms for picking such classy gowns!

Both of our mothers wore the same colour to our wedding. I liked how they were the only guests wearing white it made them stand out and it distinguished them

Sr058632 :  They both look great. Why would it be a problem that they’re in the same color? What do you think it says or means?

Why is this an issue? They both look appropriate, comfortable and great and they are both happy–don’t create problems where they don’t exist.
