@X0JLYNN03:  My mom got her dress at Nordstroms and my Mother-In-Law at Macy’s.

Well, my mom got hers at Davids Bridal, but I saw similar dresses at Herbergers that were really cute. I bet JC Penny might have some too.

My mom went the department store route, because she wanted something she could wear again. She got a gorgeous blouse and skirt from Von Maur.

While shopping she also found a some good choices at Davids Bridal, JcPenny and Dillards.

we’re from Canada, but my mom went down to the states and got a beautiful dress from Nordstroms. They have tons of great MOB dresses.

JC Penney has GREAT dress sales in the Winter. Dillards and Macys have really big dress departments, but they are a little pricier. IMO, JC Penney or Kohls would be a better place to get the dress. They can actually wear it again and the price will be WAY less than something at DB, etc. Good luck. 🙂

My mom bought hers at JcPenney and my Mother-In-Law at Dress Barn.

They both wore beautiful dresses for a fraction of the price at a bridal salon. My mom’s was almost identical to the one at DB and she paid $60 when it was $200+ at DB.

Another plus for Nordstrom’s is that they do not charge for shipping if you purchase on-line.  This means you can order up multiple dresses, charge them to your Norsdstrom account, and return them before the date your bill is processed, all for free!  Although they have stores in my area, the selection is not the greatest so I use the website almost exclusively.  You can also narrow your search by style, color, length and other qualifiers, so it saves a lot of time. You could even use it just to get ideas, and still shop the “brick and mortar” store when the time comes.  Good luck – please post what she chooses!
