I have a question about the color of my mom’s dress for the wedding…
My wedding colors are navy and coral, but mostly navy. My 9 bridesmaids are wearing navy and there will be 25 tables with navy tablecloths (I know, BIG wedding!) The coral is just coming in through the flowers in the centerpieces.
Well, my mom really wants to wear a navy dress and I’m kind of against the idea! I think that as the MOB she should stand out, but wearing a navy dress will do the exact opposite. 9 other girls will be wearing that color and all of the tables will look the same. I told her that even a different shade of blue would be nice, but she is so insistent on navy (the wedding is on a Friday night in November so she says a darker shade is more appropriate, which I agree with but in a different color!)
What is your opinion? Is it okay for MOBs to match the bridesmaids in the exact shade, or is that against etiquette? I just want her to stand out and look special because she is!
