No I don’t think so. Just not the same color 🙂

I don’t think so either… especially if your weather is in the warm months!

I don’t think that would look strange.  My mom and my Bridesmaid or Best Man wore shorter dresses.  My mom didn’t want to look like the traditional MOB, so she was totally appropriate and comfortable in a black cocktail dress.

I don’t think it’s weird. My mom will be wearing a knee length dress…she’s very short and long dresses just do not work for her…in fact knee length dresses come almost down to her ankles.

I don’t think it would be wierd. Just agree with above poster: in a different color!

Does the dress really have to be in a different color?  My mom doesn’t like/wouldn’t look good in a traditional MOB dress, either.  She likes the color I chose for the BMs/ groomsmen and she will be walking our dogs down the aisle (if all goes as planned), so I want her to match everyone else.

I guess I just don’t understand why everyone (at least somewhat) matches, but the MOB is supposed to wear some different color?  Please inform me!

My Mom is wearing the same color as my BM’s- just a little darker. I think whatever you want your mom to wear is fine
