My mom is freaking out. All my girls are in long dresses she wants to wear tea but she doesnt’ think it would look good. (June wedding) I told her it would look good and she said I was wrong.
What are the mob dress rules? What are your mom’s wearing? Is there something I"m missing here?

I’m not a traditionalist so I don’t know the "rules". But if your mom feels comfortable in a tea length dress I say she should go for it…she’ll be lovely. FYI, I doubt my mom would feel comfortable showing leg, so I’m pretty sure she’ll end up with something floor length (dunno yet, thought). My Future Mother-In-Law already showed me her dress and it is also floor length. But both my mom and Future Mother-In-Law are the types who are very self concious about showing any portion of their body.

I think a tea length would be beautiful; I initially wanted my mom to wear a tea length, but she wanted a floor length dress.

My mom thinks her knees look "baggy" so she proably would wear something just below the knee. But if she loves the dress, why not?

My mom really wants to wear a tea-length dress, but she doesn’t know where to find one that doesn’t look "MOB"-y! She’s short, like me (5’2"!!), and looks beautiful to me, but of course isn’t a stick-thin model type. We tried out White Dress Black Market (or is the the other way around? I always forget! 😉 ), but some things weren’t looking quite right. Especially with the stick-thin models coming out of the other dressing stalls in her dress. Any ideas for non MOB-y MOB dresses?

I don’t know the old, traditional rules, but my mother will be in a tea-length dress while my ‘maids will be in floor length.
For a non-MOB-y dress, I would try Ann Taylor if you like the White House, Black Market style. I actually took my mother shopping at all her usual stores, but looked for a nicer than usual dress before dragging her off to a several hours marathon at department stores. We found the perfect dress for her at Nordstrom.

My mother’s pretty petite, and isn’t into the shimmery dresses marketed to MOBs. So, we found a nice Bridesmaid or Best Man dress that she look great in! It’s from the Bill Levkoff line.

My girls wore tea length (it was supposed to be full length but we had problems), my mom wore full length, and my Mother-In-Law wore tea length (couldn’t talk her out of it). I originally wanted everyone in full length but stuff happened so you just have to roll with it. Here’s a few photos if you want to see how it looked: It actually didn’t look bad in my opinion.
