I have several dresses from modcloth, and they are all very good quality. As for fit, the reviews are almost always accurate in their “runs large/small” ratings. I haven’t had a bad experience yet, and the clothing is so pretty 🙂

Definately check the ratings.  My favorite dress that I wore to my bridal shower and rehearsal dinner is from there.  My favorite shoes are from Modcloth.  However, I also have a few “misses” from skirts or tops as well, but no more than most new companies I try.

I have a dress from there and I love it. The reviews of of running large/small are usually pretty good overall. I’ve been very happy and would order from them again.

I have several modcloth dresses.  Having said that, I have returned several as well.  For every dress I order that I love, there is usually one that I order that ends up looking much cheaper than I was expecting.  I often find that if I google the dress I can find it elsewhere for cheaper.  But I do love their dresses and have had success.  I own maybe around 8.  Lately I’ve been having luck at Francesca’s Collection.

I agree…read the reviews. ModCloth is awesome but there are always dresses that look cheaper in real life and that usually will be stated in the reviews.

I also like eshakti. They have a lot of similar vintagey styled dresses that are good quality at decent prices.

@Ivelanded:  I have to second the Eshakti recommendation.  They are generally good quality for the price and are about as much as song of the lower to mid range Modcloth items.  Just make sure you have a good iron and some starch handy, they pack them into tiny packages for shipping.

@TwoStatesBride:  I have purchased from them once before, and they were great! I Don’tr have a pic for you (New Laptop, haven’t transferreed stuff over yet) but they were pretty good! I got the lady love song dress in red, very sexy, and fit like a glove! I felt like jessica rabbit, or joan from mad men!

I order from Modcloth relatively frequently.  I have quite a few things from there, and for the most part, I’ve been happy with my purchases.

Whenever I’m not, their free returns system is super easy and convenient.

I’ve only ever had one problem with them, when something I ordered was advertised as being in stock and wasn’t.  When a week and a half went by and the order still hadn’t shipped, I had to get in touch with them to find out what the hold up was, since they never notified me or refunded my payment.  It wasn’t an issue once I reached out to them, but still it would have been more professional if they had notified me themselves first.

@TwoStatesBride:  As a fellow blondie, I think that yellow color looks best on brunetts or red heads, it’s too much yellow on blondes. It’s pretty cute though! I Like the purple on or the gazzebo dress is nice too.

@TwoStatesBride:  Modcloth is amazing!

The best part is their customer service is so freaking awesome and agreeable. I’ve had to return so much stuff because it didn’t fit me and they are always very amiable about the process.

I had never purchased anything off the internet before I used modcloth (except for clothes I had tried in person)

I recommend Modcloth to everyone. Especially considering how helpful it is to be able to read reviewd of people in my body type, and see what the pictures look like on their body.
