Hi,
I have natural hair. It is not long yet and I am afraid that I ma not be able to get an updo with my natural hair. So I was thinking of getting a sew in, kinky twists, or a wig. I want to wear a tiara and I am afraid that kinky twists may not work as well. I came across model model’s perfect 4 indian remy hair. You can wear it curly or straight, which I think would be perfect for my honeymoon as well as the wedding.

Have any of you tried this? What do you think?

The curly look is nice for the honeymoon. I use Model Model Ego Remi Yaky. It’s super soft and last for a long time. What texture is your hair when it is straightened? That will have a lot to do with the kind of hair you choose, you want to make sure it can be blended easily.
You should check out http://www.longhaircareforum.com. There are a lot of blogs of ladies like yourself who are going natural and want a sew-in, you’ll find lots of advice for types and brands of hair.

Thanks! My hair is already natural. I have 4a hair texture. When I got it pressed it didn’t really last long because of the humidity, but It got pretty straight and wasn’t puffy. I will probably keep it curly for the wedding and honeymoon so that I won’t have to worry about sweating my hair out or the humidity/rain.

remy indian hair is awesome – i have all my full lace wigs made with virgin indian remy hair – its the closest i have foudn to what my hair used to do on its own. if you do the natural straight you can wear it straight and braid it up at night if you want wavy curly look with a bit of leave in conditioner.
if you liek the wavy look right off the bat just go for the indian remy in body wave or whichever wave you want.
make sure its indian REMY though – which means its all in the same direction. and the higher end ones have them all from the same donor. it helps to make sure it doesnt get tangled.
but its GORGEOUS hair.

Thanks! I’m still debating. I will talk to my beautican and see what texture/style would be good.

Yeah Long Hair Care Forum (LHCF) will definately be the place to go for hair but if you really want to know more about weaves or sewn Blach hair media is on point with that.
Extentions Plus is where I get my weaves that has the texture you are looking for from. They can custom curl it the way you want. They are pricey though.

@pat291: Thanks, I will look into that too. I will do a full weave but leave enough of my hair out to cover the tracks (to do an updo or half up do). I get my hair done on Tuesday.

Hi, I don’t really like the model model hair. It had a chemical smell whenever I wet it, and as soon as I washed itit began looking like a mess. It became all knoted up. I had the afro hair and it wasn’t anything like an afro. It was wavy (tight waves). It did not blend well with my hair. I had to two strand twist the front, which made it kindof blend in.
I will get some samples from wagmans soon and I will let ya’ll know what I think.
