@allyouneedislove:  Aww you are too sweet! I still wish I looked like her! When I was 18, I was told that I looked like her all the time ๐Ÿ™‚ Here’s a pic from that time

@MrsPanda99:  Haha! You sound like me… I was dreading dress shopping because I know nothing of fashion or dresses or what looks “good.”  I started my journey at David’s Bridal, who stuffed me into horribly hot, stuffy, uncomfortable longline bras and slips that made me look lumpy. I was miserable, and just figured wearing a wedding dress was a horribly uncomfortable, hot, and stuffy ordeal! Haha.

But a friend convinced me to try a real bridal boutique, and try on “designer” gowns (and I’ve NEVER been one to go for designer anything!! I hate that designer names cost SO much more for NO obvious reason other than you’re paying for the name!).  Andd the very first Maggie Sottero dress I put on, was a dream!! I don’t need ANY bra at all! It was lightweight, comfortable, I could MOVE, and it was so supportive. ๐Ÿ™‚ TOTALLY worth it!

@lovelove1028:  I was thinking of going to David’s Bridal, but I have heard very mixed reviews. By all accounts, I feel that I do want a Maggie gown or maybe Essense of Australia. I believe that Sophie’s Gown Shoppe offers those brands and Maggie seems quite reasonably priced! I definitely need a corset and at this point I don’t care if I can’t move, lol. I was worried about a strapless bra, so I am relieved to hear that you didn’t need one. They never stay up or have enough support (at least the ones I’ve tried).

Can I just say that all of you ladies look amazing in your dresses and about a million times better than the dress models?

@langloiswedding2013:  Thanks! I feel like a lot of the people had this dress as their second choice. I’m excited to post pics of me in it that aren’t grainy and from the fitting room.

@MrsPanda99:  I think Davids Bridal is great if you are just interested in trying on a lot of shapes, and if you don’t worry too much about finding your dress there. I went just to see what looked good in a low-stress environment and ended up buying a dress!

@Nicholstobe:  The Benita looks great on you!  I had been hoping to see a pic of the dress on a real person.  Where did you try it on (I’m in MD)?  I’m probably not going to go with satin, but I did have the Benita on my list of dresses to try on….

@MrsPanda99:  Agreed – strapless bras neverrr hold anything up. Haha. Corset is perfect and provides a great amount of support. ๐Ÿ™‚ My dress has a HUGE train and is still held up perfectly without anything underneath.. I love it!

@asbtoabs:  Thanks for the compliment! I went to a small boutique in Annapolis called Mary’s Bridal. The website is just marys.com. The place is very uneventful from the outside, situated in a strip mall next to a few older stores. However, I thought it was quite nice on the inside and I personally had a great experience. The store has had some terrible reviews online though, so I don’t know if I just happened to be lucky or what. They had the dress on a mannequin and it was the first one I tried on (it was a favorite of mine from online pics).I could not believe that they had it in a plus size (size 22 I believe)! I had scoured the internet trying to find a picture of the dress on a real person as well, but had no luck.
