I was kidding about the FB group, I thought that was obvious?

@Mrs. Candy Apple:  But I think, in that case, a poster could talk with the Mod and explain the situation.  I tried to talk to mine and never got word back from her.  (Whereas my first warning, Gemstone was super nice and explained everything for me and I agreed with her.) I think we should get a chance to defend ourselves so we don’t feel like we’re slowly racking up warnings until SURPRISE! you’re banned.

@miss sparkly cat:  Going to put it on the list, girl! Even if not everyone agrees on every question, I think they should all be on there– everyone deserves to have their specific question answered so that we can really figure things out.

The thing about editing a post – if I’m a little too snarky in my post and realize it after I look back at it, why can’t I edit it?  Sometimes I can be blunt, which could come off as rude/snarky.  I don’t mean it that way, but I do say things to bees the way I would to my friends – honestly and bluntly.  So I am self-moderating with the intent to not hurt feelings.  Can THAT give me a warning?

@futuremrsfitz18:  I’ll put that on the list with the editing question!

It wa obvious the comments were sarcastic but it could also be takn as though the sarcasm stems from someone really feeling as though the group was meant to exclude people. I was just being safe so no one really thought it was some sneaky exclusive club 🙂 that’s all

@futuremrsfitz18:  That was how I felt. It was a heat of the moment thing. I don’t care that I got flagged i was just trying to avoid letting the thread get even worse

I have to go watch FI’s soccer game now, but someone please bump this later for the night bees and I’ll check back to make sure we’ve got all the questions before I go to bed– and then send them to imabirdie.  (Hopefully with multiple people checking them all, we won’t miss anything!)

Glad we’re getting this worked out!!

@miss sparkly cat:  Did Bakerella see your post before and after it had been changed?

I’m now wondering if mods somehow know or get a notification when we edit our posts, even if they don’t see the original.

Okay, so I’ve got a bunch of the hostesses and moderators prepared to be around tomorrow to help with these answers. It’s possible that we could have answers out tomorrow afternoon.

One thing I’m not sure of yet is when WB admin and possibly even Internet Brands will be able to weigh in. Because a lot of these questions are about site policy, we do need their input. Our moderators are tasked with enforcing site policy, but when it comes to why certain policies are in place or whether they can be changed, we need to look to WB and Internet Brands admin.

I’m not telling you this to stall, but just to be totally upfront — moderators and hostesses will be online tomorrow, working together to answer your questions. Before we can get those answers to you though, we’ll need to make sure the WB and Internet Brands weigh in.

WB admin is actually already discussing, so I’m really hoping that we’re all able to get concrete answers to you all tomorrow afternoon, but again, please bear with us. I know you can’t see it, but there are SO many discussions already taking place in response to your questions.

I’m not going to close this thread because I agree that there should be a place for you all to discuss your concerns and make sure your question list is set.

But in the meantime, please remember that everyone on here is human and has feelings. These past few days have been really rough on some of us. I know I’m going to need to lean on my husband a little extra tonight.

We’re at a point where we’re working together, and I’m really happy about that. So please, since we’re leaving this one open, please try to move away from the us vs. them mentality. It’ll help us all work together so much better if we can feel like we’re working toward the same goals instead of against each other.

Thanks so much!!! 🙂

@Regina Phalange:   I don’t know for sure. All she ever said was that I was flagged and then talked about the editing

@Gemstone:  Thank you.  I think people were more frustrated because moderators were not being upfront with us, so your frankness and willingness to help in this thread are very much appreciated.  I think people realize that mods are busy with moderating AND their own lives, but it was also frustrating to see questions asked over and over again and not addressed, but mods (or hostesses, or whoever) answering other questions or closing threads when the rest of us were not done with them.  Again, this is not directed at you, more about site policies in general.

@futuremrsfitz18:  I totally understand.

Great things have happened on this site in the past when we’ve all worked together, and I fully believe great things can happen again!
