@Milwaukeebride: Oh. My. God. First of all, beautiful. Second of all, my fiance IS a crazy Star Wars fanatic, and I will NOT be showing him your photos because it will probably make him cry that we can’t afford to have Storm Troopers at our wedding. Do you KNOW how jealous you just made a bunch of nerdy fiances?? LOL! Congrats, on your beautiful day.
P.S I am stealing your bouquet!

@Meowkers: Eeek!! I love all your pics! You two are such a gorgeous couple, and I LOVE that first dance pic of you two! Congrats!

So glad to see this thread. I love looking at rustic weddings but it’s definitely not for us.
We’re going modern and glam all the way, with a touch of whimsy…

@katiedee: Thank you so much! We were very happy with how it turned out! And it was a happy coincidence to run into the storm troopers! The groomsmen were really excited about it and I knew it’d make for some hilarious pictures! At the end of the night when we were in the elevator going to our room a couple goes, “Wait, are you two the couple getting pictures with the Star Wars people?? We were having dinner across the way and saw you…and definitely took pictures!”…pretty funny.

Oh, and P.P.S. The Racing Sausage from the Milwaukee Brewers games WERE invited.

I was going for the more modern, glam themed wedding. Here is my reception site… which I think is more traditional than modern. We chose it because of the view it offers. Any ideas on how I can transform it into more modern?

I’m sure once you get your centerpieces and tables with linens in there it will make a big difference. Especially if you choose to have long (family) style tables, or something other than the traditional rounds! It’s lovely though!

@Meowkers: love your wedding, one of my favorites for sure. I am still trying to get our venue to give us a way to put bottles of liquor on the tables haha….
I wouldn’t say our wedding is modern but more classic timeless with some modern twists 🙂
I love the district wedding blog.
