I’m calling brides with straps, sleeves or more modest necklines!!
Currently, my dress is strapless, but from the beginning I really wanted sleeves. I would not let it go until I saw how much my strapless flattered me. My consultant then offered a compromise…she would order material from my dress and have cap sleeves created. I loved it.
But since I’ve ordered it I haven’t been on it like I was..maybe I was just relieved to have it ordered. But I was just watching a re-run on “Something Borrowed, Something New” and there was a modest bride and all 4 of her dresses made me cry.
It’s my idea for a VERY long time that when I’m a bride, I should be modest. Show me your pics?!!!!

My dress has straps, but not really a modest neckline. My chest is on the smaller side though so I don’t feel like its going to be a problem in terms of it being too revealing. Your title made me think of my dress because most people think my dress is kind of plain so I was thinking of modest in terms of it not being over the top like a lot of dresses are these days…

I wouldn’t describe myself as modest but my dress certainly is!
It does have a low back though so at least I have a little bit of sex appeal

I’m so going to be stalking this thread! I’m not one for the over the top, poofy, sparkly, tulle explosion, corseted, sheer bodiced, boobalicious Look-at-me-I’m-a-pretty-pretty-princess dresses out there these days:)

I will be adding this shrug jacket to my strapless dress. On me, I preferred this neckline to the cap sleeves that I tried. And it buttons up the back.
Good luck with your search – what does your dress look like?
