My Future Mother-In-Law is likely to show up in jeans to our formal wedding. Neither she, nor my Future Father-In-Law, have money, and I think they’d be offended if we offered to pay for their outfits. What should I do? How should I approach this?

Could you send it as a gift? Maybe package it with a card that says “I want you to feel just as beautiful as I will marrying your son!” You could do a little research into what size she wears and find something gorgeous.

I’d let your Fiance handle it. Surely she wouldn’t wear jeans?! I mean, really! Just have Fiance go “what are you guys wearing to our wedding?” and if they go on and on, I think you’ll have to offer to pay for their tux and dress and just let them know it’s formal and they MUST dress accordingly. Remind them they’ll be in pictures and all that kind of stuff

I’m with ejs. Especially if you’re having a very formal wedding be sure to ensure that they’re aware of the dress code.
