my fiance’s mother can not attend the wedding as she lives in another country and does not travel. do i include her in the wedding program? if so is she considered “honorary mother of the groom?” i dont know what im supposed to do!

I would definitely include her, no honorary title needed. Is it possible that you would do a live streaming video for her to be able to see the ceremony? people may understand that way. Otherwise, perhaps you could have the officiant mention that while she was unable to attend, she also gives her blessing upon the marriage?

Maybe mother of groom (in absentia)? …I also like the idea of the officiant mentioning that she wishes she could have attended.

I think you need to include her name but I do not think you need to put an extra title or anything…I think it would be nice if the officiant did mention her..that would be really nice…Or maybe she can write something and you can have someone read it as apart of the ceremony…

I would put her in the program as if she were there.
Perhaps at the reception you could mention her absence in a toast or something to acknowledge her importance.
