Since I only had one bridesmaid and a Maid/Matron of Honor, I had them both in the same dress and the same color because I wanted everything to look unified.  If I had had a bunch of bridesmaids, I may have considered dressing the Maid/Matron of Honor a bit differently.  It really is a matter of personal opinion.

You could dress the Maid/Matron of Honor in a different color, a slightly different dress, give her a different bouquet.. there are plenty of options if you want to make her stand out.  What is your color scheme?

Good luck!

Its really a personal choice. I decided to have the same color dresses, but I’m giving my Maid/Matron of Honor a larger, more elaborate bouquet in a different shade. Its a nice way of acknowledging who the Maid/Matron of Honor is.

Here are two other ideas for you to consider:

Reversed colors.    For example, if the BMs wear burgundy dresses with a champagne sash, the Maid/Matron of Honor can wear the same style dress but in champagne with a burgundy sash.

Different shade.     For example, if the BMs wear light pink dresses, the Maid/Matron of Honor can wear a dress that’s a darker shade of pink (I think Miss Kiwi is doing this, but with autumn-inspired colors).

I think it’s a sweet idea, kana, to honor the MOH by having her "stand out" from the rest of the bridal party!
