Not if it was within a month. If I got married in July and someone said November, I’d be annoyed. Frankly, ill be happy if parents and Darling Husband cab remember!

I don’t think it would be a huge deal (ie WWIII), but I would be a little hurt.

My Maid/Matron of Honor keeps asking me when my wedding date IS! People have busy lives– you have to remeber that your weddings day is not nearly as important to everyone else, and it’s not a measure of how much they care about you, it’s just the fact that each person only has a certain amount of brain capacity and especially after the fact, it’s just not something they need to know at the drop of a hat.

I can’t remember when my MOH’s wedding was. Sometime in early December. I just remember that I had to drive all the way to where she lives and back one week after making the exact same trip for Thanksgiving (she lives near where my parents lived then).

I expect she’ll quickly start thinking of mine as “sometime in the middle of the summer.”

It’s an important date for us, but not for anyone else.

I guess it depends. Is she the type who is forgetful anyway? It would only hurt my feelings if I felt like it meant it was very low priority/didn’t mean anything to her. I have friends who never remember my birthday, but it doesn’t upset me because that’s just how they are. Then again, if the friend who always remembers everyone’s birthday, anniversary, etc. was forgetting, I would be a little hurt. Some people are just better/care more about dates.

ETA: I agree with PP. It’s a date that is very important to you and your Darling Husband, but not so much to other people (and that’s ok). I would be happy as long as she could remember a round-about-time (i.e. summer).

It wouldn’t bother me if my Maid/Matron of Honor forgot my wedding date since i don’t know why she would bother to remember in the first place. Unless she plans on reminding Darling Husband every year for me?

I only care if Darling Husband forgets our wedding date. I’m my friends Maid/Matron of Honor and I know her wedding is the third week of June but I don’t recall the exact date.

Agreed. After the fact, who cares? I’d want her to remember the month, maybe, but other than that, who cares if anyone else remembers when the date was? Maybe if it was BEFORE the wedding.
