I’m having a reallllly difficult time choosing my Maid/Matron of Honor. I always thought my sister would be my Maid/Matron of Honor, but now that it’s really time for me to get married, I actually think I’d want my best friend to be my Maid/Matron of Honor. A sister relationship is way different than a best friend’s. But, she’s my SISTER! sigh, so hard. and also, i just feel like since she’s so much older and has so many other things going on in her life, that she won’t be as enthusiastic of a Maid/Matron of Honor as my best friend in regards to planning a shower or a bach – ugh that sounds so selfish of me doesn’t it. and i was the moh for both of them…SO tough!!! help!

I’m having two MOHs. I’ve heard lots of other girls do the same thing. One is married now so she’ll be called Matron of Honor. The other might get married by the time my wedding comes and then they’ll both be Matrons.

Why dont you have 2 MOH’s? Is your sister married? You can have a Matron of Honor and a Maid of Honor.

hmm, that’s tough…how many bridesmaids are you having? If you have a lot, you could make them both MOHs! I actually have friend who is having three! I think THAT might be a bit excessive….but if you just want one, I think you should go with your friend. It sounds like you are a lot closer to her. And I get the sister thing…my older sister (who is 15 years my senior) isn’t even a bridesmaid. I love her, but we didn’t even hardly grow up together. Instead she will be doing a reading in the wedding.

I have two sisters, and they will both be my Matrons of Honor. Just can’t choose! This is how they did it for their weddings too.
