I’ve seen it before. My friend chose someone to be her Maid/Matron of Honor because she was her Maid/Matron of Honor and I have a sister so she asked me if I was OK with being a Bridesmaid or Best Man and not a Maid/Matron of Honor. I was just happy to stand by her side and I didnt need the Maid/Matron of Honor title. Maybe ask your other friend if she minds? Or have both. If one is married you can have a maid and matron of honor.

I think people get too hung up on the titles. I’d ask the second girl to just chill and remind her that there’s only a  bunch of extra work that comes with the MoH title, and it’s not a competition or any reflection on how much you value her as a friend.

My bestfriend had 2 of us as Maid/Matron of Honor. It was hard because neither of us lived in town. As long as they communicate you will be ok.
