I would like some advice for the speech I am about to give. Thank you!
Before I start I would like to say that *** you look absolutely beautiful and *** I am happy to see that you are out of your sweats. For those of you that don’t know me my name is *** and like all maid of honors I thought about all the stories I could tell, but after I was repeatedly told by *** as to what I was banned to say, that didn’t leave me with much.
When *** first asked me to be her maid of honor she said I have something to tell you. The worst went through my head and then she asked me to be her maid of honor and I said I would be honored and delighted to. I instantly thought what had I done to be blessed with such an honor?
*** and I met at *** and have known each other for 7 years. I’ve never seen her happier or more in love and that’s how I knew that *** was the one for her. The first time I saw them together, she was a different person. She was relaxed, happy and carefree with a smile always on her face. This must have been the way that *** made her feel, like the princess she is. He has shown her that she is special and shown her true love. I know that if I am half as happy and loved as *** is when I get married, I will be blessed. And *** and ***, it’s hard to put into words how seeing you together, so happy, makes all of us here today feel. And when we all witnessed you in the church today make those vows we all knew they would last forever.
*** has proven time and time again that she is a true friend and we have come to know each other so well that we have an understanding that goes beyond words. She will always be there with a shoulder to cry on, a stuffed animal, and a pint of ice cream. She has always supported my decisions with open ears, arms, and heart and I am so thankful to have that.I am also so thankful that she found someone willing to marry the both of us.
***, I know you will make an amazing wife and *** you’ll make an amazing husband or else you’ll have me to deal with.
On behalf of the bride and groom, I’d like to thank everyone here for sharing their day, and it now gives me great pleasure to invite you all to stand and raise your glasses in a toast to *** and ***, Mr. and Mrs. ***. We wish them well for the future, and hope they enjoy a long and happy marriage.
