My sister is my maid of honor. I have four bridesmaids in total and I got them all the same dress. The catch was that I had to have them try it on so I could return/exchange it if it didn’t fit within 14 days. All of them except my Maid/Matron of Honor complied, so basically along with my mother we had to guess her size. The dress was $300.
Now it is 5 weeks before the wedding. She decides to finally come home and try the dress. It does not fit. My mom is guessing that it is just one size too small. I have been pestering both of them to go to the tailor shop to see if they can let it out. They have still not done it and it has been a week. My sister is balking at the fact that I want all of my bridesmaids to look the same. She wants to buy another dress. She thinks that she should look different because she is the maid of honor. I think it will look strange because there is no way to match the color to everyone else and the style will be completely different. Basically she wants to pick her own dress instead of trying to alter the one I paid $300 for. And she isn’t even going to pay me the $300 back!
Am I being a total bridezilla over this? I just don’t think she should get her way just because she was too unconcerned to make the original deadline for trying the dress on. Advice, please!
