It is beautiful yes-but I find that etsy sellers like to inflate their prieces when it comes to moissanite creations.  That design is not new.  Please contact Chris at moissaniteco.com and ask him for a price on that to custom make it.  A 1ct loose forever 1 stone on their website costs  $325 US.  You’re being way over charged hon!

I’m an aussie with a custom moissy ring. I got a 1.08ct equiv emerald cut FB and 2 x .26ct sidestones that cost around  $950AU. I don’t know what the price difference is between Fbs and F1s.  My setting was $1600AU  but it was platinum (would have cost more but we got mates rates). I think your quote is a little high for what you are getting tbh.

Have you looked at purchasing loose stones from moimoi and having your setting made elsewhere?

heybel :  I think we were confused since you mentioned a genuine diamond (but said it was too small) in your original post.  If ethics are really your only concern,  be careful where the seller gets your moissanite as some are created/processed/cut in other countries (China/Mexico/India). Also the metal the stone is set in often has issues-recycled is best. Plus you’ll want to make sure there are no genuine diamonds in the setting. There are genuine synthetic diamonds available but of course they’re expensive like mined conflict free diamonds…

Hey!

Fellow Aussie here 🙂 You can definitley get a diamond for $3000. Like one of the previous posters said, check out https://www.bluenile.com/au/

You just need to educate yourself on the 4 C’s. Round diamonds are more expensive too btw. An  oval/cusion/pear cut is cheaper than a round brilliant equivalent and can look bigger. Just for comparison, on the blue nile website you can pick up a  0.80 carat, SI 1, Round brilliant, Ideal cut J colour for $2400. That is only the diamond btw.

heybel :  Thanks for the store name. They have beautiful rings. Some of them remind me of Anna Sheffield’s jewelry which is so unique and beautiful! If it’s exactly what you want and you’ll be upset if some detail is changed I say go for it. You’re going to be looking at it several times a day for a long time hopefully!

heybel :  seem like a lot. Try David Klass for a custom. He’ll be much cheaper. You’ll need to buy the stone though if you want a F1

heybel :  Remember how I said your ring looked like something Anna Sheffield would design? Look what was on her instagram today!

heybel :  I was in love with an etsy seller’s set as well, Fiance was leary about spending that much through etsy. We ended up going to a local jeweler with great reviews. They got my simple thin gold setting with a 1.8ct radiant cut (emerald shape) C&C forever one colorless for $1,500 and we got it in 2 weeks! I’d check out local jewelers they won’t have in stock but will order for you!
