These pictures were taken in my sunroom, under natural lighting conditions with no overhead lighting and no flash on my phone.  My back is to the windows – there are 10 windows in this room and a door.  I thought for sure my moissy would show some green from the woods in this room, but I think it looks pretty white and crisp here!

Purchased from moissaniteco.com, style ENG225 set in palladium on a size 7 finger.

-how many carats 1.4 ct FB cushion, 2.17 ctw

-enhanced/unenhanced Forever Brilliant Enhancement

-pros  Beautiful, shiny, conflict free, made in the USA, lab created (I consider this a pro because I am a total lab rat hehe..but you can also know that the people who made your stone have health insurance benefits and go home happy to their families every night), the back story of it coming from meteorites is super cool too (yes I am also a lab rat/nerd), cost is not artificially inflated, stones are actually more rare than diamonds… if you don’t believe me check out this article:http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/1982/02/have-you-ever-tried-to-sell-a-diamond/304575/

They will last forever, never cloud, are *almost as hard as a diamond* (harder than sapphires and rubies tho).  I enjoy the double refraction and the chameleon-like nature of the stone.  Some people say that although they are not as hard as diamonds, they are tougher.  They can also withstand higher temperatures than diamonds (but I don’t see why anyone would be exposing their ring to 1000 degrees C LOL).

-cons The only con I can think of is if you’re getting a moissanite to pass it off as a diamond.  Although many people see a white/clear stone and assume it is a diamond, it doesn’t have the same “icey” shine as a diamond and isn’t as… crisp I guess you could say?  The double refraction and chameleon nature may bother you if you want a diamond, moissanites are moody, but I love that about my stone as I have always loved things like moonstones, labrodites, mystic topazes, and alexandrites.  If you want a big diamond but cannot afford it, I would say try getting an Asha CZ, but it won’t be a forever stone because CZ clouds over time while moissanite does not.  Although, I have seen on forums that women with Ashas have had them going on 10 years and do not notice clouding.

@als1214:  Wow, that is a money shot right there!  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture capture such an amazing rainbow effect of Moissy.  Good job on that one!

@Mona204:  1.5 unenhanced from MoCo Sol307. Love it! It’s a pale buttery color in certain lighting, but sparkles clear in bright sunlight πŸ™‚ Sorry for the ginormous picture!

Mine is a 1.5ct Amora Moissanite.  I love it, I’ve only had it for two weeks but it sparkles like crazy.  There are no cons as far as I can tell, it’s bright white all the time, even in overcast/rainy weather.
