Yes, I need all the info I can before I make my important purchase!

Yes, I will get a stone from Moissanitco.com but think twice about the setting!

I wasn't looking for info, I just came across your review on accident.

Yes your review was helpful, and I no longer want a Moissanite ring.

Clearly Mco.com/ad.com purchases settings from different casting houses.  My setting came in perfect but with my appraisal sheet or on it was the name of their QA/inspector.  Clearly sometlhing happened recently to this department since it appears a few bees have had settings that were subpar.  I hope they return to their old inspection services to insure everyone is getting their dream ring in perfect condition. But hopefully when you send your ring back you get the setting you paid for.  Also make sure you get to keep your same stone too.

@ArizonaGirl:  I don’t think the defects are minor at all – they’re very noticable! I hope the problem is solved to your satisfaction. It should not have been sent out to you in that condition.

My MCo setting is also pretty crappy quality. Just a simple solitaire band with a tulip prong head and the soldering between the head and the ring is awful. It has so many bumps and holes in it. The stone is fine though.

The the most recent posters, my AshaDiamond.com rings are both excellent quality, also my moissy earrings are lovely, from Moissaniteco.com.

Sometimes things don’t go 100% to plan, I am very comfortable to work with a company who fixes the problems rather than argues about it or flat out refuses to fix it.

Honestly, in any form of manufacturing problems happen, things are not always perfect, it speaks volumes of the company that they are very happy to fix the problem.

@ArizonaGirl:  I have to agree with a previous poster- I don’t really feel like your setting is “bad”- one thing you DO have to realize is:  all good jewelry is handmade- and there is no such thing is perfect- especially when it comes to handmade items.

I see where you saw the shank isn’t cute all the way through- although it looks like it IS cut all the way through- but somehow a little gold got “stuck”- if you will.

It doesn’t look like they are unevenly cut, either.

I have a bezel set ring- and if you look ever-so-carefully- I mean SERIOUSLY stare at it, you will notice the diamond is ever-so-slightly crooked.  I mean- I noticed it by accident when I was taking a close up.  There is NO way anyone looking at my ring- even when I take it off would ever notice-

I did contact the store they purchased from- and they were more than happy to reset the diamond.  But again- after long, hard though- I realized that because it’s handmade, it could come back worse— some bees also helped me realize this.

I kept my ring- and am so happy I did.

I think that if everyone stared at thier rings long enough, you’d find something wrong with it.

There are no two peices of high-end jewelry that are exactly the same- even if they are “the same”- keep that mind!!

I think your ring is OK!!

Honestly I bought a setting and stone from Asha diamonds and was not happy with the workmanship or the setting of the stone. Isn’t this the same company? Next time around I had my new stone set locally. Sorry you had trouble and hoping they get it straightened out for you.

I’m so sorry you had an issue with your setting. I’ve seen posts like this from many companies from mall chains to Tacori so it does happen. I have a setting from moissaniteco that is perfect and I love it. I hope everything gets worked out. Your ring is very pretty.
