sciencecats :  I almost got my ring from them! How does the F1 look in person? I am waiting to see mine in person so I am a little anxious.

soon2bmerrell36 :  I think it’s absolutely gorgeous! I love the colorful flashes, but I also get a lot of white light. Everyone that sees it thinks it’s a real diamond. I have corrected a few people and told them it’s a moissanite (because I’m proud of it and it would be absurd to have a diamond worth as much as a car!), and I have gotten a lot of rude reactions like, “oh, it’s one of those FAKE diamonds.” I think I’m just going to stop telling people it isn’t actually a diamond. There is such a stigma with anything non-diamond that they treat it like a CZ. πŸ™

sciencecats :  See that is what I am worried about! I don’t mind people not knowing it isn’t a diamond…but I live in the Deep South.  It is full of old snotty ladies with “old money” who just get so dang uppty about stuff like that. We could have afforded me a big diamond but I would rather go on a really cool honeymoon for 2 weeks instead! Thanks for replying!

soon2bmerrell36 :  honestly, I’m just not going to correct them anymore. I’ll let them think that my fiancé is some big shot (it isn’t like the ring was cheap, anyway). It’s just easier. πŸ˜‰

2.5 ct moissy. Either of these wide rings can be worn as a stand-alone ring, but I think they also look pretty cool when worn together.

Size 5.5 finger.

My Darling Husband says the center stone is .75 ct but I think it’s .5 so I’m not sure of the exact specs. All I know is that I love it.

Here’s my 7.5mm (1.5Ct) Old European Cut Forever Brilliant, in platinum. Side stones are tiny diamonds. Ring size 6 though with the cold weather it’s gotten smaller! I love the moissanite, the story behind it, and the price tag! It’s interesting though, it does look different in different lights. If the sky is overcast it can look a bit grey. Generally though, it looks white and super sparkly.
