I so love your ring!! I still can’t believe that’s not a diamond but not the point here…

Get a replacement wedding band. Or send the ring to moissaniteco, have them melt the band and reuse the gold for a new band and have them put Melee bright white diamonds in it or find a jeweler who can do that. That way it’s still technically your same band just diff stones or diff style.

I have the opposite problem – I have an F coloured diamond – but a Moissanite band. The band sparkles like crazy and throws off a bunch of colour. The diamond is an excellent cut – and sparkles a lot, but the eternity band really outshines it. If you want more sparkle, I’d get a new eternity band (I have a 2.5 mm shared prong) – it was $699 USD – or see if MoissaniteCo will replace the stones in your band with moissanites. That would likely save you some $$$

Honestly, I would not have Mo Co “melt” the gold, and I don’t think they would. It is not quite that easy to do, especially as they won’t know the specific alloy and they might need to “add” more, and costly/labour intensive.

You might be able to replace the diamonds with moissanites though, depending on size.

Honestly…I would just go ahead and get a new moissanite band. You can wear the original on your right or save it for one of your daughters to mark a significant event, etc.

DonutGirl33 :

It looks like LOGR uses larger moissanite rounds in the marquise shape compared to their diamond band so a straight swap won’t work, but at least you know you otherwise like the LOGR band. I would just go and get ahead and get it!

DonutGirl33 :  I have the exact same wedding band and yes – the diamond quality drives me insane! My F1 moissanite is magnificent but the band has no sparkle at all. I just keep telling myself that it is still a pretty shape.

DonutGirl33 :  it’s a bad picture actually, but it’s late now and I’m too lazy to turn on the lights and take a new one. Plus I can’t seem to get any closer – it goes blurry. My rings are an upgrade from my original set. Picked the e-ring (MoCo) and then the band on eBay from LOGR. I’m not sure what to do to replace it. I have cz rings that look better. I’ve heard that Moissanite melee crack easily, so I’m concerned about that.

DonutGirl33 :  here is mine – I have a 1.09 ct, F, VS2 diamond, and 2.5mm shared prong eternity band. The band is gorgeous – I’ve had a ton of compliments whenever I’m out doing ‘normal’ things like grocery shopping.

I see MoCo has this eternity band for $475 (slightly higher if your finger is bigger). I think this is the ring you’re looking for – with the milgrain edging – they also have one without milgrain

DonutGirl33 :  I was really surprised that the Moissanite matched the diamond so well. The diamond is an F colour, and the Moissanite is Forever classic – so isn’t supposed to be white – i would guess if you can get Forever Brilliant or Forever One stones they’ll be even whiter.

I think they match very well. All my friends think they are diamond. I’ve had a lot of people ask how much it cost – one woman argued with me that I had to have paid over $5000 based on the quality of the diamonds. Even the local jeweler assumed they were diamonds (but she also asked me what morganite is, so I wonder about her…).

I would press pause and wait.  If you want to use moissy, you would be better off waiting for new material in the small sizes.  With you H&A, it will not match normal moissy, even small.  If you want to use diamonds I would go that route, but I don’t think I would buy from the same place that sold me I1/I2 diamonds in the first place.
