@pfinarffle:  Have you previously registered the cards? If so, she cannot register them as they are one time, original owner specific.

Some older diamond testers test positive as moissanite. Some newer ones can tell the diff between diamond and moissy, but there are also separate moissanite testers that specifically test for moissanite.

Worst comes to worst, she returns it, you refund her, ebay doesn’t charge you the final value fee and paypal doesn’t charge you the transaction fee… all you lose out on is your original shipping. can you give me your item # for what you sold if you don’t mind… i use ebay a lot and maybe i can help you find a loophole through your listing.

@pfinarffle:  Are you sure Charles and Covard make rose cut mossanite? I’vE never seen them sell this cut before. I would think they would at least offer it on their site. Did you test the stone when you received it? I would be skeptical that it is truly a moissanite since I’m sure the Charles and Covard card can easily be replicated while the actual stone itself cannot.

@soy:

here is a completed listing of a rose cut moissy on ebay…

http://www.ebay.com/itm/14K-WG-Rose-Cut-Rosette-Moissanite-Ring-Edwardian-Antique-Filigree-Unique-Videos-/130835316416?pt=CZ_Engagement_Rings_US&hash=item1e76647ec0

and ebay has a lot of listings for black rose cut moissanite. it seems like it’s a special request thing and you can get it specially from MCo but it’s not listed on the site… hmmm

C&C makes rose cuts, but not black ones.

The testers should be tesing positive for moissanite.  Moissy will not test as CZ, it will either test as diamond or moissy.
